Cristina completed a degree in Legal and Social Sciences (Law) at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and also established a solid foundation in the real estate industry, gaining valuable expertise in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and understanding human behavior—key assets for a psychotherapist.

 

She later transitioned into the field of counselling, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences and a Diploma in counselling, which allowed her to build a strong foundation in the mental health field.

Working as a phone counsellor for Lifeline Australia, was the turning point to redirect her life purpose to assist people who endure mental health adversities.

Her approach is characterized by empathy, respect, and non-judgment, as she endeavors to create a safe and supportive therapeutic space conducive to unlocking individuals' growth potential and helping them navigate through life's complexities.

 

Cristina is a therapist with experience in various areas, including family therapy, relationship counseling, conflict resolution, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, life transitions, cross-cultural issues, migration, relocation, as well as matters of meaning, purpose, and self-worth.

 

She has extensive expertise in working with people from varied origins across all continents such as North and South Americans, Europeans (Swedes, French, Spanish, Russian), Africans (Mauritians), Asians (Japanese, Chinese). Additionally, she has worked with non-English speaking clients with the assistance of interpreters.
