Counselling can benefit clients in various ways

Session Information
Sessions can be in person or online. They last for one hour and can be extended if needed and possible.
The counselling environment, either one-on-one or online, encompasses an empathic, respectful, non-judgmental approach that creates a safe and respectful therapeutic environment.
The First Session
The first session is when client and counsellor have the opportunity to meet each other, to start building the therapeutic relationship, so you can feel comfortable to discuss your current concerns and expectations of the counselling process.Â
The session is basically a conversation that flows according to the client’s need(s). The dialogue focus on identifying your current concerns, your expectations of the process and end goals, and the problem-solving strategies.
How many sessions are needed?
In most cases, people require more than one session to reach the stablished goals during the first session. However, sometimes clients have important insights in one session. In fact, each person requires a different number of sessions. Some people just need three or four sessions, while others need years of counselling therapy.
At the beginning of the counselling therapy process, weekly sessions are ideal. The frequency can always be adjusted depending on need and progress evaluation.
